The Asian Science Enterprise Challenge (ASEC) is a regional competition for 16-19 year olds. It helps raise the level of science and engineering entrepreneurship through understanding of innovation, business skills and working with diversity. Challenges on global issues are chosen to stir their hearts, hands and minds.
The inaugural event was held in 2009 with participating Asian countries; Singapore & Indonesia. In 2010, we had countries from Singapore, Indonesia, Korea and Japan participating in the challenge. In 2011, countries from Singapore, Indonesia, China, Philippines, Japan and South Korea participated and a regional champion was also chosen from each countries’ entry.
The winning team of ASEC will get to represent their respective countries in the Global Enterprise Challenge.
exhilarating…. adrenalin pumping…. fresh, new concept…. intense
The Challenge is a 24 hour deadline-teamwork testing-creativity exploration-business strategizing-marketing bonanza all in one. The process of working feverishly through 24 hours with a newly assembled team of total strangers and finally arriving at the final prototype and business plan leaves you with one dominant feeling – triumphant achievement.
Are you up for the challenge? What kind of words would you use? Come experience it for yourself!
