ASEC 2012 Regional Judges
The judges for the regional judging are; Janto V. Sulungbudi | Indonesia Mr. Janto V. Sulungbudi is a Physicist lecturer at the University of Parahyangan in Bandung, West Java. Jaha Nababan | Indonesia Mr. Jaha Nababan, an IT consultant and also a faculty member at a teachers’ institute. He has been judging at robotic competitions and various IT competitions. Christopher Lane | United Kingdom-Singapore Chris is an intellectual property specialist with an IP consultancy, IP Matters, in Singapore. Chris has worked in a variety of capacities in IP, both in the UK and Singapore, from assistant patent attorney to IP analyst in a venture capital company, to in-house IP manager, both in industry in the UK and academia, in NUS. He has experience as an IP mentor for startups at SMU’s Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Asst. Prof. Darren Yeo | Singapore Dr. Darren Yeo is the assistant professor at the Raffles Museum of Biodiversity and Tropical Marine Science Institute of the National University of Singapore. Dear Participants, We are excited & looking forward to your participation at the Asian Science Enterprise Challenge 2012. We would like you to take note of the following details; • The Venue is at Singapore Science Centre - Marquee • See you on May 19 (Saturday) • Please be punctual for registration 8.30-9.00am. The event will start at 9am. • Participants can bring along their laptops, stationary and water bottle. Please bring about $10 for prototyping materials too. • Dress in something comfortable like jeans and t-shirt. Registration is now opened for all students aged 16-19 years old to join in the Asian Science Enterprise Challenge 2012. Sign up before March 30 to enjoy an early bird special of $110. After that, you will still be able to register till April 30 and the price will be at $130. Download the form and complete it before the registration closes. You can also register your interest here and we will follow up with you. So sign up now and get ready for a challenge!
ASEC 2012 Information
The Asian Science Enterprise Challenge is back for 2012. Together with Science Centre Singapore, the Young Entrepreneur Centre will organize this 24 hour challenge for students aged 16-19 years old. ASEC 2011 Instruction for Singapore Participants
In addition to a prototype, participants are to produce the following in response to the challenge; 1) A two (2) page Business Plan (PDF or DOC). Name the file with your team name (e.g. Team Knorex.PDF) 2) A 3 minute video of your creative presentation – This will be for the regional judges 3) A presentation to local judges, 3 mins only. Please note the deadline for each response 1) Email the business plan to organisers@gec-singapore.com by 29 May 2011 – 2pm 2) Upload the video to youtube.
