It was an exciting experience for six total complete strangers to come together and work on challenges. Although it is stressful to work under pressure, the team achieved a sense of sastisfaction when we won the 1st runner up. I hope that more students would take part in this particular challenge the next time for this wonderful exposure.

Wow! The last 2 days have been really something! I did not bring my camera there… supposed to be mentoring one team, but ended with 3 teams.
All of you guys ROCK too!!!
All the 3 teams are champions to me… All completed the presentation within the 3 minutes without freaking out!!!! I’m very proud of you guys! We did not win the com- petition, but I’ve got a trophy here that I’ll not exchange for another!

The Challenge was a good educational activity. It is not very easy to participate in the activity as one requires to have a good knowledge about businesses theories and its other aspects.
One thing that i personally noticed was that many of the participants did not have much of business knowledge. In my team as well, only two (as far as i know) of us stud- ied business in our schools, and this helped the team as we could drive the focus of our team in the right direction, which helped us. We did many group discussions, rehearsals, which enhanced our business skills in person. In addition to this, it helped us to work as a TEAM, and complete tasks under time constraints. I made great friends and i am sure that other participants made friends too. This activity personally helped me ex- plore the business world, understand the concepts of marketing and finance better. There is a saying “UNITY IS STRENTGH” the understanding amongst us was our strength. Finally in conclusion i would say that “the Intelligence and ability to tackle obstacles with an optimistic attitude of all my team members along with the hard work we put into the completion of this task, ended up with a fruitful result”. WE WON!!

How many competitions allow you to familiarise yourself with your team, learn to work with them, spend day and night with them to brainstorm and come up with a business idea which answers to the challenge issued, write a business plan,come up with a marketing strategy, do up a financial statement, source for materials for your prototype and complete your presentation in 24hours? GEC stretched me to my limits and exposed me to the reality of the intense business field. This is also where I discovered the potential I never thought I had.

During the competition, I have learnt how a team can be in critical when it comes to the a real world, whether your proposal can be work and make profit or loss. When you are in the competition, you will faced the stress and pressure that the environment will give you. so that it will teach you how to handle it. You can only find in this competition.

The Challenge is a 24 hour deadline-teamwork testing-creativity exploration-business strategizing-marketing bonanza all in one. The process of working feverishly through 24 hours with a newly assembled team of total strangers and finally arriving at the final prototype and business plan leaves you with one dominant feeling – triumphant achievement.
