The 2011 Global Enterprise Challenge is…

On April 12th 1961, Yuri Gagarin became the first human in space. To commemorate this momentus event in human history, the international space community has launched an international competition for schools. Your challenge today is to conceptualise and design an interactive exhibit for display in science museums around the world, celebrating 50 years of human spaceflight, and looking ahead to the next 50. Estimate what it will cost to develop your exhibit, and produce a business plan to recover the cost of creating and maintaining the exhibit. Good Luck to all Teams!

GEC 2011 Singapore Hub

In 2011, Science Centre Singapore and Young Entrepreneur Centre welcomes participants from around the world to join us in competing in the GEC together. It is also a chance for participants from many countries to interact and build networks. ASEC 2011 Registration

The application for participants to the Asian Science Enterprise Challenge is now open!   In 2011, the GEC will be preceded by the Asian Science Enterprise Challenge (ASEC) from 28-29 May 2011, where the challenge will be issued by an MIT professor. The winners of ASEC 2011 will have the opportunity to represent Singapore in the GEC. The winners will also be trained in preparation for the GEC event. Venue: Science Centre Singapore Date: 28 and 29 May 2011 Age group: 16 -19 years old (Enrolled in a locally recognized school e.g Polytechnics, Junior Colleges, IB Course, International Schools, etc…) Download the registration form and send the completed forms back to us via email or snail mail. Applications close on 30 April 2011. Hope to see you there as we will be having the event at Science Centre Singapore, so there is lots of exploration, experimentation and enrichment for the participants.   The Global Enterprise Challenge (GEC) is a 24-hour international challenge in which competing student teams from around the world are set a challenge to produce a prototype and a business plan for a commercially viable product or service to meet an objective set by the organizers, Careers Scotland.   Venue: Science Centre Singapore Date: 18 and 19 June 2011 Age group: 16 -19 years old   Singapore will function as an asian  hub for the GEC. We will be opening to participants teams from other  asian countries and beyond to join us during the GEC time to compete together.
